Recently, there has been a terrible trend in the tech industry: selling devices that WILL have great features. You pay them now, and they promise to bring you new functionalities in the future. Rabbit R1, Humane AI Pin, Apple AI enabled features, Copilot+ PCs are only few examples of that. It’s a shame that market is accepting this way of selling unfinished products.

Gli strumenti informatici sono sicuramente un potentissimo e valido aiuto per molte delle nostre attività quotidiane, possono aumentare la nostra produttività e semplificarci la vita. Esiste però anche un “lato oscuro” di cui non si parla spesso. Applicativi come Notion (non ce l’ho con loro, lo cito solo perché è un tool molto alla moda) consentono di gestire progetti molto complessi in maniera versatile e con grande libertà di configurazione.
😞 Ora è arrivato il turno anche per Dropbox: licenzierà il 20% della propria forza lavoro
Posso soprassedere sul fatto che per pagare il pedaggio sul sito della Pedemontana Lombarda sia necessario effettuare almeno 2 / 3 passaggi di troppo. Ma la cosa più grave è che per poter pagare ho dovuto installare Chromium perché con Firefox oggi non c’era proprio verso… 🤬

The point is that your browser is your door to the Web. Not surprisingly, browsers are now implementing Artificial Intelligence features into them so they can help you get information, article summaries, and more. The price for this is likely to be our privacy and a major change in the way we use Internet.
