Finished reading: Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller πŸ“š

Great book, I especially enjoyed the end of the story.

Finished reading: L’ombra del faraone by Robin Cook πŸ“š

An adventure book with misteries of modern and ancient Egypt.

I’m personally tired of being questioned about doing things like a professional.

Take a photo like a PRO. Became a better blogger like a PRO. Learn how to code like a PRO.

And you? Are you tired of all this PRO mess?

A place I loved at first sight (Masciago Primo - Italy) πŸ“·

A panoramic photo of Masciago Primo, Italy

Sembra che anche questa settimana sia partita con il turbo. πŸš€

Ronco waterfall (Rancio Valcuvia - Italy) πŸ“·

Hiking without books? πŸ“š No problem, during the trail there are a pallet and a bench full of free titles… 🀩

A pallet and a bench full of free books

I really do not like paywalls. 🧱😠

Now my blog has a 404 error page. πŸ†˜

Some thoughts about Nostr

I have tried Nostr (a new protocol for decentralized social media) and would like to give a personal & non-technical verdict on this system.

First doubt: if the average user is already struggling to use Mastodon at first glance, I can imagine how they might find themselves overwhelmed by such a system.

Second doubt: the fact that it is uncensored is a good thing, but also a major Achilles’ heel. As far as I understand it, there is in fact no content moderation.

Have you tried Nostr? If so, what do you think?

I adore this vintage book cover. 🀩

Currently reading: L’ombra del faraone by Robin Cook πŸ“š

Yesterday I missed #ShowYourStripes day. So I’m doing it right now. πŸ˜‰

Finished reading: Murder, Stage Left by Robert Goldsborough πŸ“š

An “old style” crime book with Nero Wolfe and his assistant Archie Goodwin as main characters. I really liked the idea, but the final of the story lacks of something in my opinion.

While I transfered here my old blog posts I realized to have blogged a lot in the last few years. πŸ˜ƒ

After reading this article about Digital simplicity I can confirm that personally I have the same feelings about big social networks and crosspost automation. I really like how micro.blog can easily crosspost everywhere, but frankly speaking 2 or 3 big socials are enough for me.

Are you tired of Reddit? Then you can try a Lemmy server.
